What exactly does that mean?
Well you could mix two spells you already have, or perhaps you want to mix two that you don’t personally have, well, all you’d need is a buddy with that spell!
Want to create something entirely new?
This is possible too! All you need is someone smart enough to accomplish this. The more a spell can do, the more Academics you’ll need to have.
But does it have a cost?
It _does._ Every spell has a cost. When making a spell, you’ll have to pass it by the mods beforehand. You can do this through questions! A custom-made spell requires Attribution points just like learning from the already existing magic trees, and the point cost of the custom-made spells will vary based on how powerful the spell is. You may be asked to nerf or buff spells’ capabilities to better fit the combat or rp experience of CoR. If you are interested in making custom spells but need help or advice in fleshing out your ideas, you can request help through the questions channel as well and a mod will DM you and help you out.
Do spells have to align with the 8 original magic types?
Not necessarily, however depending on the absurdity of the spell, it may require a high Aca to create due to its difficulty, cost a lot of attribution points, or be unavailable until further plot arcs have passed.
Can I make spells for other people?
Yupp!
Can I give someone my Attribution points to learn a new spell?
Nope. Who learns it, pays for it.
Can I have an example?
Sure! You could make a spell that summons dreidels.

Example Spells
dreidal summoning
Every turn you can summon one dreidel from the chaos planes.
This is something semi-original, so you’ll have to have at least one aca stat to make it, but it's not that useful, so it'll only cost the base cost of 3 attr. points.

A Song of Ice And Fire
An attack where a flurry of ice and fire is fired at your opponent.
This might not add extra damage, but you could perhaps have a higher chance of finding a weakness on certain types of monsters. You have both magic types so this won’t require an aca score, and it doesn’t add any extra damage, so it’ll be another base price of 3 attr. points.
